Our campus has a state-approved CSET waiver program for the Single Subject Science credential, and the waiver program is an alternative to the CSET exams for verifying subject matter knowledge. Students complete the courses in the waiver program with a “C” grade or better, and then the campus completes paperwork that is sent to the CTC for their records.
Our waiver program consists of one year each of first-year biology, chemistry, geology, and physics plus one course in astronomy with lab; calculus; and upper division science courses in one area.
