Photo of Book Cover of Relative StrangersMargaret Hermes will be a visiting writer at CSULA on November 14-15. Her visit is sponsored by Poets and Writers, Inc. through a grant it has received from the James Irvine Foundation, Hollenbeck Palms, the Emeriti Association, the Center for Contemporary Poetry and Poetics, Statement Magazine and the Department of English.

Ms. Hermes will be attending the meeting of Statement Magazine (Salazar Hall C 169) on Wednesday, November 14, from 3:15-4:15 to be interviewed by the staff. She will be joining the Creative Nonfiction class (ENGL 406/506) at 6:10 on November 14 in King Hall B 4013 to give a reading followed by Q & A, and discussion of the relationship between fact and fiction in contemporary literature.

 

Books will be available for sale and signing. Her appearances in the Statement and Creative Nonfiction classes are free and open to the public. Her visit continues on Thursday, November 15 with a reading followed by a Q and A at Hollenbeck Palms.
