COVID-19 Safety Protocols

As part of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s Safer at Home Order for the Control of COVID-19, Cal State LA has implemented COVID-19 safety protocols to safeguard employees and visitors. The three-page document below outlines the implemented measures, including the following.

  • Signage has been posted at each public entrance to inform all employees and visitors to avoid entering the facility if they have a cough or fever, to maintain a minimum six-foot distance from one another, and to wear face coverings at all times.
  • Everyone who can carry out work duties from home has been directed to do so. Employees have been told to not come to work if they are sick. All employees who are working on campus have been provided face coverings to be used, and workstations have been configured to allow physical distancing.
  • Breakrooms, restrooms and common areas for employees remain open and are being cleaned and disinfected daily with EPA-approved disinfectants and asthma-safer cleaning products. Hand sanitizing stations have been installed across campus. Soap and water are available in all restrooms and breakrooms across campus.
  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols have been implemented for areas used by anyone with a confirmed case of COVID-19. For additional details, refer to the Campus COVID-19 Plan.
