Safety Training Information

Online Training & Logging in

All Cal State LA safety training can be accessed using 'CSULearn' for staff, volunteers, or student employees or 'CSU Learning Bridge' for Cal State LA students. 

CSU Learn Training (for employees)

CSULearn is a training platform used for training and certification programs. Risk Management and Environmental Health & Safety (RMEHS) currently uses only online training to train employees depending on the hazard assessment for each control area. In addition, supervising personnel can request a consultation to help assess and determine the type of training required based on your control area. You are free to take a course merely to broaden your education, each of the courses is available by simply launching the selection.

Logging into CSULearn

  1. Log into your MyCalStateLA portal and select 'CSULearn' from the tiles on the left-hand side.
  2. Search for the name of the training course or the course code*.
  3. Select the 'Register' button.
  4. Select 'Start' to start the online training.
  5. Complete and download a certificate of completion copy.

*Note that that course code is more accurate, as it is a catalog number specific to each training course.

CSU Learning Bridge (for students)

The 'CSU Learning Bridge' is an online training platform that contains all the CSULearn training materials, but can only be accessed by CalState LA students who are not receiving monetary compensation. Student training is dependent on the control area they are accessing and the hazards the student may encounter. Training required will depend on the hazard assessment for the control area done by the supervising personnel. Students needing training must log in using the MyCalState LA portal to access the Student Learning Bridge.

Logging into CSU Learning Bridge

  1. Log into your MyCalStateLA portal and select 'CSU Learning Bridge' from the tiles on the left-hand side.
  2. Search for the name of the training course or the course code*. 
  3. Select the 'Register' button.
  4. Select 'Start' to start the online training. 
  5. Complete and download a certificate of completion copy
