Actress Laura Vallejo Visits MFA Acting Cohort On February 13, actress Laura Vallejo visited the MFA Second and Third Year Acting Cohort to discuss her career as a working actress.  She discussed a range of topics from getting work in the industry, being a cast member on The Ranch, to the ins and outs of guest starring roles.  Students researched Ms. Vallejo's career and prepared questions for her.  She met with the students as part of the Surviving the Industry class taught by Yelyna De León.

Sudden Death Viewpoints
  • Sudden Death View Points or SDVP is an ensemble piece that centers the Viewpoints within the world of a competitive sport, exposing the inherent theatricality of sports events, while drawing on the over-the-top satire used in WWE. This project embraces the “unknown outcome” of competitive sports infused into contemporary theatre. This project serves as partial fulfillment of J. Eric Lauritzen’s Culminating Project towards his MFA in Television, Film and Theatre/Acting Option degree. The play was directed by Third Year Acting Option student Adam Ferguson.
MFA Showcase November 18 at 7:30pm
  • On Nvember 18, students from the acting, production, and writing cohorts celebrated each students work by presenting selections from current projects and previous course work.  Selections included readings of plays and screenplays, acting scenes, monologues, and devised theatre pieces, which are in development.
