Plan ahead, arrive early during Commencement week

Thousands of guests are expected to visit Cal State LA during Commencement 2019. Plan accordingly and arrive early to find parking or consider using public transit.  

Commencement 2019 will feature 15 separate ceremonies at the University Gymnasium in the Billie Jean King Sports Complex from May 20 to 24.  

Graduating students and their guests will be allowed to park at no cost in Structure C (green and blue levels) and Lot 5. Accessible parking will be available at no cost for graduating students and their guests in Lot 8. Parking for faculty and staff will be available in Structures B and C. Shuttles will be available to transport graduating students and guests from the Transit Center, Structure C and Lots 5 and 8 to the west entrance of the Administration building.

The Cal State LA Transit Center is serviced by L.A. Metro and Foothill Transit bus lines that connect the university to the greater Los Angeles region. The center also has a Metrolink train station. For more information about public transit options, see the Parking and Transportation website.
