This exhibit features Cal State LA student narratives on their academic, social, and out-of-class lives.
QTPOC, pronounced as "Cutie Pock," stands for Queer and Trans People of Color. QTPOC Thursdays is a space for queer and trans people of color to ask questions, explore and dialogue about gender, sexuality, race, ableism, politics, pop culture and so much more. Meetings are every Thursday in the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center.
This week, the CCC is all about you, your success, and Finals Week! We’ll have “quieter” hours and study space, assistance from CCC staff and study group leaders, and some light and nutritious refreshments in the centers at various times to feed your brain and lift your energy.
One of the most inspirational and distinctive voices in music today, Aaron Neville is a master of many styles. The audience can expect to hear doo-wop and gospel from his recent albums, as well as blues, jazz, soul, pop, country, and even reggae. It is a playlist that reprises and celebrates one of the greatest success stories in American music.
Student choreography is highlighted and celebrated in this informal concert in our large studio, specially converted into a performance space for this event. Student choreographers collaborate with performers to create daring new works that reflect personal investigations into identity, purpose, fears and yearnings.
This culminating experience is a yearly tradition in the department at the end of the fall semester.
The Student Leader Awards, scheduled for Spring 2018, recognizes and celebrates the many activities, events, and contributions of on-campus student organizations, members and advisors. Awards Packets are due by 5 p.m. on March 30 at the Center for Student Involvement.
