Cal State LA is proud to host Ballet Hispánico as a company-in-residence. For more than 45 years, Ballet Hispánico has brought communities together to celebrate and explore Latino cultures and the shared human experience through dance. Their works are inspired by the dynamic aesthetics of the Hispanic diaspora, building new avenues of cultural dialogue and sharing the joy of dance with all communities.

The workshop is intended to equip students with the tools and guidance needed to compose a first-rate personal statement for graduate school applications. Faculty from departments across campus, currently serving on graduate admission panels, will review, critique and give in-person feedback on draft statements. Attending college is a busy and hectic time for many students that can create problems. Some of these problems include feelings of not having enough time and being overwhelmed, procrastinating and having feelings of anxiety.
