The second night of Panhellenic Formal Recruitment is all about philanthropy. Come learn more about how the Panhellenic sororities participate in civic engagement.

The University Writing Center hosts two-hour and four-hour Writing Proficiency Examination (WPE) workshops. Each workshop gives an overview of the WPE and what is expected of students taking the exam. In addition, students will participate in brainstorming a response to a sample WPE topic. In the four-hour workshop, students write a sample essay, and tutors are available to provide students with feedback on essays.

Preference is the final activity in Formal Recruitment. Participating women can preference the two current Panhellenic sororities: Alpha Sigma Tau and Delta Zeta.

Bid Day is where women find out which organization they will be joining. Participants will receive their bid and join one of the two Panhellenic sororities.

Stop by the Cross Cultural Centers for an exhibit exploring people who identify as both black and Mexican, and how they navigate their daily lives as members of two cultures. Blaxican is a series by Walter Thompson Hernandez that showcases those who identify and embrace their biracial black and Mexican identities.

Join the Center for Student Involvement team as we plan the biggest party of the year, Mardi Gras 2017. Our volunteer Mardi Gras intern will assist in the development and logistics of our annual Mardi Gras event. Pick up an application at the CSI front desk. Applications due Sept. 23 at 3 p.m.
