Join the Asian Pacific Islander Student Resource Center and the Vietnamese Student Association as we commemorate the fall of Sài Gòn and its impact on Southeast Asia (SEA). We will be screening Bolinao 52 – The Vietnamese Boat Refugees followed by a discussion with Southeast Asian community workers, scholars and artists.

This is the 20th anniversary of the John Lion New Plays Festival. Under the leadership and mentorship of Cal State LA professor and renowned playwright, José Cruz González, student-written original plays are developed and directed by invited professional directors for full main-stage premieres. This year's selections are:

Presented in conjunction with his stage show entitled The Best Seat In The House, a retrospective exhibition of acclaimed photographer Ethan Russell’s prolific career will be on display in the Luckman Gallery. In 1968, Ethan Russell was a young American with a Nikon camera living in London and aspiring to become a writer. A few years later he was one of the foremost rock and roll photographers in the world. He is the only photographer to have shot album covers for The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Who.
