The University Writing Center hosts 2-hour and 4-hour WPE workshops. Each workshop gives an overview of the WPE and what is expected of students taking the exam. In addition, students will participate in brainstorming a response to a sample WPE topic. In the 4-hour workshop, students write a sample essay, and tutors are there to provide students with feedback on their essays.
Come to the Organization Development Meeting to receive important tips and ideas about recruitment and how to better your organization as well as give you updates on policies and procedures. One representative of each organization must attend at least one meeting to maintain University recognition. Don’t be late! Check-in begins 30 minutes before the meeting starts and will end once the meeting has started.
This program will help parents understand the differences between high school and college and the transition their son/daughter will experience. Information will be provided about what it takes to succeed in college and how parents can support them by making college success a family goal.

The 1960s farm labor movement in California was more diverse than many realize. Among the leaders was a Filipino-American named Larry Itliong. With a bill signed by Governor Jerry Brown, October 25 will now be observed as Larry Itliong Day in California. Visit the Cross Cultural Centers as we celebrate Larry Itliong Day in its inaugural year by learning about his life and work in social justice.
