Ben Bateman, English faculty member and director for the Center for the Study of Genders and Sexualities, will discuss the themes of his new book.
Join us for an evening of performances by Cal State LA Black women, exploring the "Angry Black Woman" race-gendered myth and stereotype. Come celebrate your campus friends onstage, while also reflecting on thoughts, beliefs and practices that attempt to place Black women in a simultaneous space of subordination, servitude and silence.
