Join us for a six-week interactive workshop series based on the Dietary & Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. The six workshops are: “Enjoy Health Food that Tastes Great,” “Quick, Healthy Meals & Snacks,” “Eating Healthy on a Budget,” “Tips For Losing Weight and Keeping It Off,” “Making Health Eating Part of Your Total Lifestyle,” and “Physical Activity is Key to Living Well.” Healthy snacks will be provided and a certificate of completion is given to participants who attend all six sessions. Cal State LA’s Pre-Law Society, Criminal Justice Student Association, and Political Science Association, in partnership with the Pat Brown Institute for Public Affairs and the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles County, invite the campus community to participate in this inaugural Judicial Candidates Forum. The forum aims to inform students and the community about the 23 judicial candidates that are running for one of seven Superior Court judge seats.

Adoption fees range between $15 and $115 per animal. Cash or check only. Professionals from ASPCA and other organizations will be on hand to offer advice on training, animal care, and volunteering. Open to the public.
