Root of the Matter is a critical dialogue, educational, and social identity exploration series that invites Asian and Pacific Islander students to engage in open and honest conversations about key issues and topics impacting their communities over a shared meal. Each session will focus on a specific topic. The program aims to increase visibility of the APISRC and CCC, foster community and connection, and empower AAPI students to lead and create positive change on campus.
This workshop is designed to introduce participants to tests of significance using IBM SPSS 29. This workshop will cover null hypothesis, correlations, paired-samples t tests, independent-samples t tests, multiple response sets, frequencies, crosstabs, and data manipulation techniques. Participants will learn how to interpret SPSS output, understand whether results are statistically significant, and use tools such as copying and pasting variable properties, inserting or deleting variables and cases, and merging data files.
