Learning Outcome 1: On-Campus Living

As a result of living on campus, residential students will perform better academically compared to non-residential students.

Assessment Measures
We will compare residential and non-residential student GPAs annually.

Assessment Data Collection Plan
Annual collections of student performance indicators such as GPA.

Existing Data
We plan to use existing Institutional Research data.

Analysis of Results
Results will be analyzed through Excel. All student identifying data will be removed prior to analyses.

Use of Results
We will use the results to demonstrate that students who live on campus perform better academically than their non-residential peers. Results will be shared with the Student Life Assessment Council and with Housing staff to assess the effectiveness of the residential education program.  We will also include the data in our marketing plan so potential students learn about the positive impacts of living on campus.

Learning Outcome 2: Financial Aid Management

As a result of participating in a financial aid management workshop, residents will develop competency in managing their financial aid budget.

Assessment Measures
We will assess learning at the workshop with pre/posttests.

Data will be collected at individual programs and annually through the Sky Factor EBI survey.

Data will be collected at individual programs and annually through the Sky Factor EBI surveys.

Use of Results
Results from this assessment will be shared with Housing staff and used to guide practices for the development of intervention strategies to increase student knowledge of budgeting and managing financial aid the next year.  Results will also be shared with the Student Life Assessment Council.
