WHO ARE WE?

We are a student organization on campus who strive for greatness and improvement. We want to work with others and develop together as a team, a family. We help each other out and push each other to our limits. We want everyone who is a part of SHPE to feel confident in themselves, to grow as an individual, and to change the world through their greatness and intelligence. Together, we are SHPE!

WHAT IS OUR MISSION?

SHPE's mission is to empower the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential, impact the world through stem awareness, access, support and development.

WHAT IS OUR VISION?

SHPE's vision is a world where Hispanics are highly valued and influential as the leading innovators, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.

WHAT IS OUR GOAL?

We would like to assist all our members with academic development, leadership development, professional development, chapter development, and community service. We want to push our future engineers to exceed their limits and explore their uncharted talents/skills.

OUR HISTORY

Throughout the years, we have assisted our members by providing them resources such as mentorship, conference preparation, financial assistance to attend conferences, networking opportunities, FE Exam study sessions, and much more! The number of members who have received offers and/or interviews from companies is very high, which proves that our methods have worked in the past. Still, we continue to change and grow as an organization to provide opportunities for all and most importantly to form a special bond between our chapter.

CHAPTER BYLAWS

Our organization is guided by our bylaws which indicate our policies and mission. It is where we determine the name of our organization, its purpose, its mission, the membership details, and the executive board of director's responsibilities as well as the election process.
