Ya-Chih “Jilly” Chang, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education and Counseling at California State University, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on social communication interventions with young children with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementation of evidence-based interventions for young children with disabilities in inclusive settings, and community-partnered interventions for culturally and linguistically diverse children and families.
 
Dr. Chang is also the Principal Investigator of Project PISCES (Partners in Improving Social Communication in Early Childhood Special Education), funded by the Office of Special Education Programs (2019-2023). Project PISCES will fund students in the Early Childhood Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis master's program and train them using interdisciplinary approaches to work collaboratively to increase social communication skills and decrease challenging behaviors in young children with significant social communication delays, including children with autism.
