Teaching Interests

I teach multiple classes in our secondary teacher credential program, including Secondary Teaching Methods, Classroom Management, Student Teaching Seminar, Advanced Methods, Urban School Reform and more. I also teach a reading and write support class for remedial CSULA freshmen. I all students deserve high quality teachers.

Research

I am very interested in promoting college access, reducing college remediation rates, building grit in college students, preparing highly effective urban teachers, and writing powerful college application essays.
