Roderick Ferguson, professor of African American and gender and women’s studies at the University of Illinois, Chicago, researches African American literature, queer theory and queer studies. Ferguson coined the term Queer of Color Critique. His keynote talk kicks off the annual Student Research Conference by the Center for the Study of Genders and Sexualities (CSGS).
