Fulbright Visiting Scholar Lecture: “The Dictatorship that Transformed Brazil, 1964-1984”

Marcelo Ridenti is a professor of sociology at the University of Campinas in Brazil and the 2014-15 Cardoso Visiting Professor at Columbia University. His research focuses on the culture of the Cold War and the internationalization of Brazilian artists and intellectuals. His publications include Brasilidade revolucionária (2010); Em busca do povo brasileiro (2000); O fantasma da revol. brasileira (1993); and L’intellectuel, l’État et la Nation (2006).
