Description

This powerful play, showing on Feb. 14 & 15 at 7:30 p.m and Feb. 16 at 2:30 p.m., explores a young girl’s relationship with her older brother who has Down Syndrome. Cricket is a teenage girl who struggles with embarrassment and frustration concerning her older brother Tom. Tommy Tune, an elegant visualization of Tom’s inner self, dances in and out of the piece, allowing the audience to tap into Tom’s world. Though she loves her brother, Cricket is deeply embarrassed by him and doesn’t develop friendships easily for fear she will be found out. She desperately wants to Xix her brother’s "problem," and proposes an impossible science project to cure Down Syndrome. With the help of her Grandmother and friend, she realizes Tom isn’t deficient, but rather has something extra to offer the world. With additional school performances on Friday mornings. Tickets $12 general admission and $8 student/senior
