Dr. Sandra Pujals (History, University of Puerto Rico), whose distinguished scholarship explores the world of transnational communism in Latin America, shows the ways in which Soviet communist ideology was transformed through international travel circuits, the agency of local actors, and unorthodox frames of reception. Dr. Pujals will present materials from her forthcoming book entitled, Su Casa Es Mi Casa: The Caribbean Bureau of the Comintern and the Forging of a Soviet Caribbean.
