Description
The mission of the Billie Jean King & Friends Event is to enhance the student-athlete scholarship program for the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics at Cal State L.A. Former Olympians and civil right advocates John Carlos and Tommie Smith will be presented with the Joe Shapiro Award, which is presented annually and recognizes individuals who display exemplary characteristics of humanitarianism, leadership and vision. The evening will also include a lively auction with several exciting trips and other unique items up for grabs.
