Administrative Technology supports the mission of the University by providing business technology analysis, implementation, upgrades and maintenance support of personal computing devices, printers, computer systems and business applications for the Administraton and Finance, University Advancement, University Auxiliary Services, University Student Union and Associated Students Incorporated organizations.
Accomplishments and Statistics
The staff of eight people in Administrative Technology provides support for approximately 500 personal computing devices, 260 printers and 35 small to large business applications for 400 staff. This team provides ongoing business technology analysis, technical support and training for the PeopleSoft applications of the Common Financial System, Human Resources, Student Administration and Contributor Relations systems.
Administrative Technology supports the departmental systems for housing reservations, facilities work orders, document management, ADP payroll and human resources for auxiliaries, Golden Eagle One Card, fundraising, emergency notification, fingerprinting and dispatch.
Administrative Technology staff printed 48,000 student disbursement checks and 24,000 campus and auxiliary checks in 2012 for a total of $137 million. Administrative Technology is working on reducing the number of checks printed by promoting direct deposit for students and staff and becoming more efficient and effective with departmental printers and printing.
