Health and Safety Protocols
The California State University, Los Angeles Alumni Association is committed to hosting a safe in-person event and will follow all safety measures based on the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as local public health guidelines.
To promote safety and well-being, the Alumni Awards Gala will be a fully vaccinated* event. Before you attend the in-person event, you will be asked to provide proof of vaccination status via a third-party health protocol provider.
In addition, we have instated the following guidelines:
- All attendees shall conduct a health self-screening for COVID-19 symptoms before arriving at Cal State LA. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed on the site, please do not attend the event, stay home and avoid contact with others, except for seeking medical care if needed.
- Cal State LA’s face mask requirements are in compliance with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. All individuals, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear an appropriate face mask over the nose and mouth while on campus except when actively eating or drinking. Masks are required indoors and are strongly recommended outdoors for those attending outdoor meetings, activities, and events on campus. Please wear a surgical mask or higher level PPE, such as an N95, KN95, or KF94. Surgical masks and higher-level PPE offer greater protection than cloth masks.

* ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For purposes of its protocols, California State University, Los Angeles utilizes the Centers for Disease and Prevention Control’s definition of ”fully vaccinated,” which may be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html. For Cal State LA faculty, staff, and students, the California State University system has a booster requirement once they are eligible to receive a booster shot. If you received the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, you are eligible to receive a booster five months after your second dose. If you received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you are eligible two months after you received your vaccine.
Registration
The amount of your sponsorship qualifying as a tax deductible contribution is limited to the amount of the contribution minus the value of goods and services. This value will be noted in the official tax receipt sent out to you after receipt of your sponsorship payment. Proceeds will benefit the Alumni Association programs and scholarships.
