Cal State L.A. - Educational Participation In Communities

Youth Employment Training Program

For over 30 years EPIC has utilized university students as coordinators and mentors for this annual employment program for low income youth that serves to provide actual work experience on our campus for the participants while exposing them to the possibilities of attending college.

The objective of the program is to provide CSULA students with the opportunity and experience to work with youth while gaining program coordination skills. Through these efforts, the program outcome will be the experience, leadership, and sense of team work gained by our university students, the work provided to our participating university departments and offices, and the exposure to higher education and practical work experience that the youth receive.
