Campus Freebies | Spotlight

From tech training to pencils

Freebies abound for students across campus

With the dire state economy, college students are watching their expenditures. At Cal State L.A., they should also keep an eye out for “freebies” as registered students qualify for many campus services and amenities at no extra cost.

During midterms and finals weeks, the Center for Student Involvement organizes free Help Week activities. On Thursday, Dec. 3, the Center will hold a free Moonlight Breakfast on a first-come, first-served basis, starting at 8 p.m., in the Los Angeles Room of the University-Student Union.

Throughout the quarter, the Associated Students, Inc. offers a free pencil, bluebook and scantron for every CSULA student (limit one each per day).

Students may also attend many free department-sponsored lectures, concerts, exhibits, performances and events, as well as CSULA’s regular-season athletic home games with proof of a student I.D.
