CAL STATE L.A. CELEBRATES DIA DE LOS MUERTOS
What & Who:
California State University, Los Angeles is celebrating Dia
de los muertos, the
traditional Mexican day of the dead, with special musical entertainment
by Quetzal and a dance performance by Tenochitlan.
When: Thursday, October 30, 6-10 p.m.
Where: Cal State L.A. University-Student Union, Second Floor.
The University is located at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino
(I-10) Freeway, at the junction of the 10 and 710 Freeways.

Dia de los muertos, as practiced in the United States, reflects
a merger of ancient pre- Hispanic beliefs about life and death
and Spanish Catholic influences, which introduced All Saints
Day and All Souls Day after the Spanish Conquest.
