CSULA Alumnus of the Year
Los Angeles, CA – Drum roll, please…. California State University, Los Angeles announces Richard D. Cordova (Class of ’72), president and chief executive officer of Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, as the recipient of the University’s 2010 Alumnus of the Year. Cordova is a Pasadena resident.
Ten outstanding Golden Eagle alumni will also be recognized during the 36th annual Alumni Awards Gala Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex, on the Cal State L.A. campus.
University Service Award
Susan De Pietro (’71) is a nurse, attorney and educator. A Los Angeles-90027 resident, De Pietro is a part-time faculty member in Cal State L.A.’s School of Nursing and served as president of the CSULA Alumni Association for the 2009-10 term.

Marlene Zepeda (’72) is a professor of child and family studies in the College of Health and Human Services at Cal State L.A. She is a Los Angeles-90066 resident.
