Repeated Coursework

Federal regulations limit the number of times a student may repeat a course and receive Financial Aid for that course.

  • Students who have repeated any course twice earning a grade above a (D), are no longer eligible to receive aid for that course.
  • Students may receive aid when repeating a course that was previously failed (F, W, WI, and NC) regardless of the number of times the course was attempted and failed.
  • A recalculation of aid is done when students enroll in a course that is not aid eligible to exclude the credits for that course. Students are responsible for meeting payment deadlines established by the university whenever there is a balance due after recalculation.
  • Students must continue to adhere to CSULA's Course Repeat Policy and the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at 323-343-6260 for more information.
