African American food culture is often wrongfully stereotyped, shamed, and blamed for health disparities. That's why registered dietitian and founder of GRITS Inc., Sade Meeks, is on a mission to reclaim the African American food story and highlight food's essential roles in African Americans' history, present, and future. The documentary is a blend of storytelling, nutrition, and culture.
