Let’s Talk is a drop-in service where currently enrolled students can have a brief informal consultation with a counselor once or twice per term. Let’s Talk is for consultation about a specific problem. Whether it’s anxiety, sadness, or relationship problems, sharing your concerns can be helpful. A counselor will listen and provide support, perspective, and suggestions for resources.

Is Let’s Talk psychotherapy?
No, Let’s Talk is not formal counseling and does not constitute a therapeutic relationship or mental health treatment. Let’s Talk counselors do not diagnose, provide ongoing care, or document the session.
Are Let’s Talk consultations confidential?
Conversations with Let’s Talk counselors are confidential with a few rare exceptions. Counselors may need to share information in an emergency when there is an immediate threat of harm to yourself or others. Counselors are required by law to report when a minor, elderly person, or someone otherwise incapacitated and unable to act on their own behalf is being abused or neglected. If you have further questions about confidentiality, we encourage you to discuss them with a Let’s Talk Counselor.
