We are implementing a three-phase timeline for accommodation requests. You need to request accommodations so that we can notify your instructors.
The earlier you make your accommodation requests, the earlier OSD and faculty can facilitate the logistics to fulfill those requests. Even if you are unsure of whether you want to use your accommodations (we highly recommend that you do), it is always best to request them ahead of time.
All summer sessions will be facilitated through online instruction. We have no information on fall instruction at this time.
- Get priority access to accommodations when you submit your request during this time. OSD can begin to inform instructors of your accommodation needs early.
- OSD will send the notifications periodically until the start of the fall.
- Summer notifications will be sent to faculty beginning, Monday, April 27.
- Fall notifications will be sent to faculty beginning on Monday, June 8.

- If you add, drop or swap a class please update your accommodation requests in your online account (the system will not update automatically). Your update will allow us to provide that same information to your instructors.
- NOTE: If you change a class and do not update the changes in your account during phase I, your requests will be noted as phase 2.
- We will continue accepting accommodation requests for summer and fall during this time so that OSD can continue to inform instructors of your accommodation needs.
- NOTE: Summer accommodation requests made after May 18 are considered late.
- We will continue to send the notification to faculty, based on the notification schedule listed below.
- If you add, drop or swap a class please update your accommodation requests in your online account (the system will not update automatically). Your update will allow us to provide the new information to your instructors.
- NOTE: If you change a class and do not make the updates in the online system during phase 1 or phase 2, your request will be noted for phase 3 and considered a late accommodation request.
- August 10 begins the 2-week period prior to the start of class instruction (8/24).
- Accommodation requests starting on August 10 will be considered late requests.
- This phase may require additional wait time to facilitate the logistics for your request (whether the instruction is in-person or online).
Priority registration for fall 2020
- Monday, April 6
Accommodation requests for summer and fall 2020 (Phase I, Early Requests)
- Tuesday, April 7 - Friday, April 24
Accommodation and exam scheduling deadline (i.e. system is off which means *No accommodation requests for any term can be made during this time.
- This deadline to request accommodations has been extended to Friday, May 1, 2020.
Accommodation requests for summer sessions only, resume:
- Monday, May 4 - Friday, May 8
Accommodation requests for summer and fall 2020 will resume:
- Monday, May 18 – Friday, August 7 (Phase 2, Continuing Requests)
- NOTE: Summer accommodation requests made after May 18 are considered late requests.
- Monday, August 10 - Friday, October 23 (Phase 3, Late Requests)
NOTE: This timeline has been newly implemented. Dates and times subject to change if and when necessary.
Each term, once you make your accommodation requests, we email your instructors a ‘Notification of Academic Support Services.’ This confirms that you are a student registered with OSD and eligible to receive academic support services.
Below is our schedule for emailing notifications. This allows you and your instructors to check the dates when the notifications will be sent prior to the start of summer and fall semester.
