About Us

Purpose

Chi Epsilon is the only recognized national Civil Engineering honor society whose goal is to maintain and promote the status of Civil Engineering as an ideal profession. The organization recognizes the characteristics of the individual Civil Engineer deemed to be fundamental to the successful pursuit of an engineering career, and to aid in the development of those characteristics in the Civil Engineering student. A student is only eligible to join our society through high academic achievements: Junior and Senior standing students must be within the top 1/3rd of his or her class. To become a full member of Chi Epsilon, each student must exemplify our Four Fundamental Pillars: Scholarship, Character, Practicality, and Sociability.
