Department of Communication Disorders

Welcome

The faculty and staff of the Department of Communication Disorders are committed to offering students an opportunity to have an enriching career as a respected professional helping others. The department's educational programs and clinical experiences are designed to give students the skills and abilities to diagnose and treat different types of speech, language and hearing disabilities.

The Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders will prepare graduates to apply to a graduate program in speech-language pathology or audiology, and our Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology will qualify students for state licensure and national certification to work as a speech-language pathologist.

The BA degree in Communication Disorders can lead to employment as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant in California. Click here for more information.
