Mind Matters Speaker Series: Angela E. Oh
Monday, March 9, 12 p.m. | Golden Eagle Ballrooms
Join us for our next Mind Matters Speaker Series event featuring Angela E. Oh, a nationally recognized expert on race relations who both meditates and mediates. A second-generation Korean American, Oh was born and raised in Los Angeles.
Oh works as a mediator with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, where she facilitates early resolution of charges of discrimination alleging violations of the state’s civil rights laws. Oh is also a practitioner of Zen meditation and has introduced Zazen, a silent meditation form, into a project called the "Gift of Compassion." Partnering with artist Tu-2, the project brings a self-care practice that combines art and meditation to improve health, well-being and capacity for greater focus and clarity to face life’s challenges and opportunities.
