  • Beatriz Aguirre, Cal State LA-LSAMP alumni, graduated with a B.S. in Biology, was accepted into a PhD program in Plant Biology at Cornell University for Fall, 2020. Additionally, Beatriz was awarded the prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship to help her pursue her goal of obtaining her Ph.D.

  • Manuel Davila, Cal State LA-LSAMP alumni, graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics was accepted into a PhD program in Mathematics at the University of Missouri for Fall, 2020.

  •  

  • Tyler Powell, Cal State LA-LSAMP alumni, graduated with a B.S. in Microbiology, was accepted into a PhD program in Immunology at UC Davis for Fall, 2020. 

  •  

  • Yasmeen Solano-Rodriguez, Cal State LA-LSAMP alumni, graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry, was accepted into a PhD program in Biochemistry at UC Irvine for Fall, 2020.

  • Cynthia Ramirez, Cal State LA-LSAMP alumni, graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics was accepted into a PhD program in Mathematics at UC Santa Cruz for Fall, 2020.

  • Yessica Nelson, Cal State LA-LSAMP current chemistry undergraduate, was accepted into a PhD program in Chemistry at UC Los Angeles for Fall, 2020.

  • Tyler Powell, Cal State LA – LSAMP Alumni won the Don Eden Graduate Research Award at the 34th Annual CSU Student Research Competition.

  • Jacob-Parres-Gold, Cal State LA-LSAMP current chemistry undergraduate won the Glenn Nagel undergraduate Student Research award at the 34th Annual CSU Student Research Competition.

  • Audrey Kishishita, Cal State LA-LSAMP alumni, graduated with a B.S. in Microbiology, was accepted into a PhD program in Chemistry & Chemical Biology at UC San Francisco for Fall, 2019.

  • Janielle Cuala, Cal State LA-LSAMP current, biochemistry undergraduate, was accepted into a PhD program in Biomedical and Biological Science at University of Southern California for Fall, 2019.

  • Jose Manuel Ruiz, Cal State LA-LSAMP current, chemistry undergraduate, was accepted into a PhD program in Chemistry at University of Wisconsin, Madison for Fall, 2019.

  • David Moreno, Cal State LA-LSAMP current, biochemistry undergraduate, was accepted into a PhD program in Plant Biology at UC Riverside for Fall, 2019.

  • David Cagan, Cal State LA-LSAMP current, chemistry undergraduate from 2017 through present, was awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship to pay his first two years of his PhD program. 

  •  

  • David Cagan, Cal State LA-LSAMP current, chemistry undergraduate, was one of two undergraduate recipients of the PROUD recognition at Cal State LA for outstanding academics, STEM research, and service/leadership activities. David graduated in May 2019. 

  •  

  • Ernesto Castellanos, Cal State LA-LSAMP current, biology undergraduate, was one of two undergraduate recipients of the PROUD recognition at Cal State LA for outstanding STEM research activities. Ernesto graduated in May 2019.

  • Salvador Rojas, Cal State LA-LSAMP alumni, mechanical engineering undergraduate, received the PROUD recognition at Cal State LA for outstanding ALUMNI. Salvador is currently in a PhD program in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University.
