Christina Restrepo Nazar, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Science Education in the Division of Curriculum & Instruction in the Charter College of Education at the California State University, Los Angeles.
Dr. Nazar earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Education (CITE) with specializations in Science Education and Qualitative Research Methods from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. She received an M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership 13' and B.S. in Science Education: Biology 11' from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.
Currently, Dr. Nazar's work involves unpacking how preservice teachers learn to imagine and enact youth-centered, equity-oriented practices in teacher education with a focus on science teaching and learning.
