Ed.D. Applications
Applicants applying to the EdD Program at Cal State LA:
The EdD In Educational Leadership degree focuses on the knowledge and skills needed by administrative leaders for possible service in either California public elementary and secondary school (P-12) or community college settings. Applicants must demonstrate sufficient preparation for, experience in, and potential for educational leadership, including successful educational leadership experience in P-12, community college, or postsecondary contexts, and/or policy leadership.

NOTE: In order to qualify for our doctorate program, you must have a minimum cumulative 3.25 or above GPA in your Master's graduate study program.

International Students: California Legislation Eduction Code 66040 read more ; International students who apply to our Ed.D. Doctoral Program at Cal State Los Angeles must plan to pursue leadership positions in PreK-16 in the State of California. Students who are studying is the US on a student visa do not qualify for this program.

A Writing Sample (showcases your best writing skills, no more than 5-10 pages)

THREE letters of Recommendation: Applicants will need the current email address of their recommenders to enter onto the application. One must be from your immediate supervisor.

Unofficial Transcripts from each junior college/university of attendance to be uploaded. Transcripts from foreign countries must be evaluated by one of these two services IERF or WES.

Mail Sealed Official Transcripts/Test Scores to Cal State LA

Please send sealed official transcripts. Submitting official transcripts to Admissions (read here) and MUST include from all universities you have attended. If you attended Cal State LA as an undergraduate or post-baccalaureate student, Cal State LA will have those transcripts on file for use on your university application.
