Schedule an Appointment

Walk-In Advisement

Walk-ins are welcomed and are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, provided a staff advisor’s schedule permits. If you need assistance with general questions (“Where do I…” “How do I…” “Where is the…”) or to get a quick referral, you are free to ask without an appointment by dropping into the office.  However, if the advisor believes that your question or inquiry cannot be satisfactorily addressed in a few minutes, you may be directed to schedule an appointment instead.

On-Line Appointment

Undergraduate students may schedule an appointment by clicking the BOOK NOW! button below.  You will need to create an account in order to schedule an appointment on-line. There are no same day on-line appointments.  You can find the location of your advisement appointment by visiting our Academic Advisor Contact Information page.  The Academic Advisor Contact Information page can also assist you in determining which advisor is assigned to the major you are seeking advisement for.

In order for you to schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor, you will need to have an Appointment Plus account.  If you do not have an Appointment Plus account,  please click the following link below to show you how to create an Appointment Plus account and how to schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor:

Preparing for Your Advisement Session

If you wish to discuss your academic plan please review your Unofficial Transcript from your GET account and bring a list of questions/concerns to your advisement appointment.  If your transcripts have not been evaluated in GET, bring copies of your unofficial transcripts from other schools you have attended.

If you are meeting with an advisor to talk about policies, procedures, or requirements, do your homework first by reviewing the information provided in the General Catalog, Schedule of Classes and/or on your School or Department website.

If you are experiencing academic problems, give some thought to what you believe are causing these problems and have a tentative plan for solving them.  The advisor will discuss your situation with you and identify some interventions and strategies for success.
