Currently suspended: The ATI TEAS Exam is a basic admissions requirement that is composed of 170 multiple-choice test questions of basic academic knowledge in Reading, Mathematics, Science, English and Language. Cal State LA offers the exam to all future applicants that desire to pursue a career in nursing or allied health program.

ATI Teas Exam Frequently Asked Questions

Proctoring Services:

Cal State Los Angeles Testing Office offers proctoring services for other institutions or facilities that may require testing when the candidate is not in the area of their institution or facility. Proctored examinations take place at the Testing Center. Candidates must obtain approval from their institution or facility and then request an appointment via email: [email protected].

All appointments are subject to availability:  Tuesday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.to 2:00 p.m.  All testing concludes by 2 p.m.

Service Fees

$25/ an hour (rounded up to the nearest hour), $25 for each additional hour:

• 15 minutes = $6.25

• 30 minutes = $12.50

• 45 minutes = $18.75

• 60 minutes = $25.00

Steps to follow before an exam:

  • The candidate is responsible for contacting the Testing Center to schedule a testing date and time.

  • Contact the Testing Center within 72 business hours of an approved exam to schedule an appointment.

  • Ensure Testing Center receives all test materials before the day of the exam.

  • Bring appropriate identification such as government-issued ID and test fees on the day of your exam.

  • Bring all fees: All fees are payable by cash, check, or money order to the Cal State LA Cashier’s Office.

  • A slip with your total will be provided for you. 

  • Please take over to the Cashiers' Office. Credit cards are not accepted. 

NOTE: Same-day appointments are not available. Payment and fees are due the day of testing. The Testing Center will NOT accept any form of payment.

Students who arrive 15 minutes after their exam appointment are subject to cancellation. Please notify the Testing Center immediately if you will be more than 15 minutes late.
