Inverted Fluorescence Microscope.  Our inverted fluorescence microscope (Olympus 71 X) can be combined with the AFM instrument in the lab for simultaneous AFM and fluorescence imaging. It is also a confocal-ready unit that can be upgraded to a confocal fluorescence microscope. The instrument can tile images in the z-direction for better contrast and can perform computer-controlled scanning in the x-y plane.
