Research opportunity in structural analysis (posted 21 FEB 2020)
A student team working for Dr. Mazari on a gantry for a 3D concrete printer needs assistance analyzing their truss for the concrete pump pressure and other loads. Dr. Rodriguez-Nikl will supervise the structural analysis. This task pays a stipend of $700 and is expected to last about a month at about 10 hours per week. The appointment may be extended as needed.
Minimum requirements are
- Experience with of a structural analysis program such as SAP2000
- Grades of B or better in CE 3600 and CE 3610
Documented experience working in teams and additional experience in structural analysis is preferred.
