The 5th Annual Assessment Faire is scheduled for Friday, April 16, from 9:30 am-12 pm via zoom. We would like to invite all faculty members to submit a nomination (self or other) for the 2021 Assessment Ambassador Award. A faculty is eligible to apply if they have led or collaborated on program-level assessment work and are able to share 10-minute presentation describing a project that can serve as a model for other departments and programs during the Assessment Faire.
Nominees should focus on describing how the assessment project examined one or more program learning outcomes (PLOs). They should describe how they collected evidence of student learning and how their department used the results to “close the loop”, i.e., make improvements to the program. Additionally, please include any advice for how other departments can incorporate these practices and better coordinate data collection across multiple courses and instructors.
Priority will be given to submissions focused on one of these core competencies: written communication, critical thinking, oral communication, quantitative reasoning, and information literacy.
Assessment Ambassador Awards recipients will be recognized by Provost Jose A. Gomez at the Assessment Faire and will receive $150 stipend.
If you would like to nominate someone for the Assessment Ambassador’s Award, please complete the Nomination form, which includes a 250-word summary, using the link below. Self-nominations are encouraged. The deadline for submitting nominations is Monday, March 15th at 5 pm.
