Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) in Underground Infrastructure
This NSF-funded collaborative Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program is offered by the Colorado School of Mines, Lehigh University, and California State University Los Angeles. This program will provide a dynamic research environment to a cohort of students over a 10-week-long summer program with a focus on “Underground Infrastructure.”

2021 Urban Sustainability Symposium
The symposium will bring together researchers, educators, students, policymakers, and other stakeholders to engage in a collaborative discussion that addresses challenges in urban sustainability. Students and faculty will exhibit poster presentations on their research in the field of urban sustainability.

2022 Sikand Faculty Endowment for Research in Sustainability
The application deadline for the "2022 Sikand Faculty Endowment for Research in Sustainability" has been extended. Note that two awards (up to $35,000 each) are available this year.

Sikand Student Fellowship in Urban Sustainability
The goal of the Sikand Student Fellowship in Urban Sustainability is to provide funding for students to conduct research, under the direction of a faculty advisor, in the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology (ESCT) at Cal State L.A. Research can focus on any aspect of Urban Sustainability. Sustainability Fellows undertake challenging projects that are designed to create an immediate impact, offer a quality learning experience, and foster meaningful collaboration. Fellows work with their advisor on a selected research project for the duration of the fellowship. All undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the fellowship.
Sikand SITI Center Webinar Series
The Sikand Center for Sustainable and Intelligent Infrastructure (SITI Center) is organizing a webinar series focusing on the applications of "Deep Learning and Neural Networks". Join us for "Part 1 - Introduction to Deep Learning" on Friday, February 19, 11:00 am (PST).
The webinars are free to attend and open to all students and faculty. However, registration is needed to participate.
