Eleanor Black Eskey received her Ed.D. in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Southern California. She holds an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston University. Dr. Eskey is a lecturer for Loyola Marymount University, School of Education and California State University, Los Angeles in the Masters of Arts Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL/TEFL). Dr. Eskey has also been a faculty member for the University of California, Los Angeles, Education Extension Urban Intern Teaching Credential Program and served as an instructor in Developmental Reading and Literacy, a field observer and a member of the curriculum design team whose purpose it was to develop and update course modules for teaching interns who were Candidates for the Multiple Subject Credential.

SUMMARY OF INTERNATIONAL TEACHER TRAINING AND CONSULTING:
Dr. Eskey has experience in International teacher training and consulting: (1) US Department of State English Language Specialist Grants: Teacher Trainer in Morocco, 2010 and English Language Specialist/Speaker Program in Russia, 2003; (2)Lecturer, MA TESOL course on Current Issues in Second Language Research, in Buenos Aires, Argentina; (3) Chief of Party, Academic Coordinator and Faculty member in several USAID funded programs that involved teacher exchanges between Egypt and the United States. Other international work includes consulting in Egypt, Taiwan and the country of Georgia.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN K-12 PUBLIC EDUCATION:
Dr. Eskey’s professional background includes over 20 years of experience as a Reading/Language Arts and TESOL Consultant in K-12 Public Education. She has worked with the California State Department of Education in developing reading and literacy materials and curriculum.
