Graduate Assistant for the NSS Fellow Program during July 12-29th, plus 3-half day training during June30-July2, 2021. The program is 4-half days a week from 9:00AM-noon each day. A total of 20 hours/week; Monday-Thursday. The graduate assistant will be responsible for attending 3-half day training and complete all online training assignments.

Degree-seeking graduate student in any disciplines in the College of Natural and Social Sciences. Graduate Assistants is currently registered in spring 2021 and will be registered in a CSU graduate degree program in the Fall 2021.
Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.
As a University dedicated to engagement, service and the public good, the successful candidate will be expected to join faculty, staff, students and administrators in a commitment to these purposes.
The applicant should display an ease and comfort in working with students of all ethnicities and have good oral and written communication skills. Good library research, writing, people/social skills as well as an ability to mentor undergraduate students is essential.
Priority will be given to individuals who have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Under the general supervision of the faculty member, GA provides support and guidance for groups of students through both synchronous and asynchronous online activities. Facilitate and mediate online discussion and group activities as well answer student inquiries about assignments. Assist in student group project preparation for their presentation on July29th. Act as liaisons between students and faculty, and support new students (freshman or transfer) as they prepare to transition into the University. Other duties as assigned.
$20/hour for 20 hours/week plus 3 days of 3 hour/day training.
