Plan ahead, get ahead, and stay ahead!

Register for summer classes and get another step closer to earning your degree!

Summer Session 2024 at Cal State LA (May 28 - August 10) provides students the opportunity to accelerate their progress toward completing their degrees and graduating (especially if you need units to graduate by the end of summer).

Enrolling in summer classes can also help you:

  • Increase your GPA.
  • Complete prerequisites, GE courses, or internships.
  • Secure a seat in a class you couldn't get into during the Fall or Spring Semesters.

The university provides online, hybrid, and in-person courses across a wide range of academic majors and fields at a more affordable cost for many, including undergraduate students taking at least six units. This reduced cost supports students in their progression to timely degree completion and graduation.

Students will have the flexibility to register for these Summer Session 2024 courses offered during three sessions: 10 weeks, first five weeks, and second five weeks. Please see below for the courses offered in each session.

Cal State LA's accelerated May Session (May 20 - June 8, 2024) is also available to students.

All sessions are open to matriculated (continuing) Cal State LA students. Non-Cal State LA students can also register for courses via Cal State LA's Open University.

Summer Session 2024 will be offered as stateside sections.
