Congratulations on completing your previous schooling and on being admitted to California
State University, Los Angeles. For the next six weeks, the Summer Bridge
staff will help you adjust to university life and begin your studies successfully.
The Summer Bridge was begun 16 years ago by staff and students who wanted to help incoming freshmen get adjusted to the university. We learned that each person has their own needs: some new students feel lost and alone and need help knowing where to go; others want to know how much studying to expect. Still others are worried about their academic skills. The Bridge will help you with all of these issues. We believe in you, and we know you can achieve your dream of a university education, if you get some help at the start in these areas. This website will provide some answers to your questions about the program, but always feel free to ask questions. The staff is willing and ready to give or find you the answers you need. |
