Welcome to Cal State L.A.! We are glad you choose to continue you education at Cal State L.A. We plan to make your transition a smooth and positive experience.   

Orientation is the first link between you and the University. It is a program designed to promote your academic achievement and personal development. It is essentially the first day of school. The foundation of your experience at Cal State L.A. begins with Orientation! 

The quarterly program includes academic and student services information, a campus and library tour, as well as an opportunity to meet faculty, staff, and new and continuing students.

The Fall 2009 Orientation Programs are offered July-August 2009. Eligible new students will be mailed an Orientation brochure. Participation in Orientation is mandatory for all new freshmen students. Attendance for transfer students is not required, but strongly recommended.
